Background[]
I, Maddy Welsh have been inspired to help people since I could remember at the age of 11, when my mom ended up being put in the hospital after having a very chaotic breakdown. When my mom was dealing with this being in the hospital me, my younger sister, and my younger brother had to be in the care of our father on the weekends, and most of the time with my aunt who was taking care of her mother, and 2 daughters for 2 weeks. During that time I was always making sure my siblings stayed out of trouble and that my aunt was getting the help she needed due to one of her daughters had diabetes. So I helped make sure she was keeping up with her blood work, getting the correct foods she needed, and was staying active. Some thought I was growing up way too fast for my age due to what I had gone through at such a young age with my mother. When she finally got out of the hospital it felt as if she was completely a different person to us. I had to make sure she was on top of her medication, and if it seemed like it wasn't working at some point due to her body getting use to it I had to let the doctor know before the symptoms had gotten worse. It was a very rough childhood given the many breakdowns my mother would go through and would completely turn the house upside down but I some how managed to get through it all the way to graduation. For some reason even though I grew up hating my mother a little bit for what felt like she took my childhood away I still ended up choosing a career path that focused on people with mental health issues. I ended up finding the perfect job for me that didn't involve going to college due to not being able to afford it growing up in a broken and poor family. The job I chose was called Mayle homes and they luckily paid for all the classes I needed to take online so I could be a caregiver for those that were mentally disabled like my mother. I did the usual 3pm to 11pm shift that let me spend the most time at work with my residents due to the fact I enjoyed being around them. Working with them felt like a second home to me. It felt familiar. But I know I couldn't stay there forever. I knew I needed to better my life and try to have a better job to help more people. So I went to look around to see what areas were best for me to better myself and my career that wouldn't cost me too much for I haven't gotten a lot saved up from working at Mayle homes
